Ouch. Sorry about the sand-through. I guess this makes a good case for going with the water method of bending over drilling channels.

Where did you get the bridge? Is that a spare MM one you found? Great job so far!

Well, yes.Natural binding is out of question now......That bridge plate was custom made .I saw one on e-bay but only gold plated so ....it wasn't a hard to make.

I wouldn't say so. You can work wonders with some wood glue + maple dust. Shade it with watercolour before clearcoating and the cave-in can be made to look pretty inconspicuous.

Nice! What type of stain did you use?

I really don't know...some guy (that) I know made it for me ,actually for all of my guitars. But the burst is sprayed with a black polyurethane base, and then a clear coat. It wasn't polished jet.

To my horror,I find a small crack at the back of the neck, right where Stewmac hotrod truss rod ends 'cause the neck is 19 mm thick and I had to route and take a 1.5 mm deep routing channel on the back of the FREATBOARD to put truss rod closer to fretboard and than make this ....I don't know how to call this application.Turned out nice...

Looks good!! How does she play?

Since I already own MM Silhouette from 2006, I think the difference is in fact that this pickups are :high output and "mounted" in wood and on original hangs on pickguard .Great sustain , and resonance when unpluged. like it very much. Chambers seems to have it logic...
