Reminds me of my grandmother's wardrobe, no joke, she had a gigantic art-deco wardrobe exactly this color of wood. XD
I think you'd do a favor to your guitar with gold hardware and pickguard now. :)

the spalted maple would've been absurdly fantastic, but this is still an incredible guitar :metal:

Have you considered adding locking tuners, a jackson logo decal, and ebonizing the board? I think those mods would make this an end all axe.

^Thanks man. Yeah those would be nice. Especially the black board with those big inlays.
But I think I'm going to have to leave the fine-tuning for her next owner. I'll probably be putting her and some of her sisters up for sale soon to help me cover some legal fees.
I may go back to just having a couple guitars. :(

You've inspired me. I'm seriously thinking about doing a veneer to my RR7R!

Thinking a quilted maple top with a white/blue burst finish will look nice with the brushed stainless hardware. Maybe leave the sides and back natural...

Anyway, killer work, man!

How many mm is that veneer? That looks massive  Looks at least3mm thick, but maybe it's just the top contouring down a bit? If it is, notice any minor tone changes? Looks amazing.

Wow thanks everybody for all the comments!

I'm glad you all d ig it!

@bunfather- the spalted maple I have is too small to do anything without piecing it all together.
Like I said I just need to cut down more maple trees!

@Xeo- The veneer I ended up using is actually super thin.
It's hard for me to comment on any tone changes because I got the guitar with no pickups!
But I'm very happy with the combination I have a mare the evolution and the air Norton are great!

Also- Spalted maple is a pain in the ass to work with especially when you're starting from a raw log!
