I've learned how to read music at least 3 or 4 times now (once in college, once before that when I took guitar lessons from a jazz guitarist for a few months, and then 1-2 more times after that on my own) and I'm just getting ready to learn again (seriously this time). I can still read music enough to know that the music was the Imperial March but it takes me quite a while to read and I always forget about the sharps and flats written in the key on the left, since they aren't written on the thing. I have like 4 books related to the subject: one on music reading for the guitar, two on jazz theory, and one on classical stuff. I've forgotten most of the stuff I learned in these books.

I can read music, just knowing where to play the shit is the hard part, lol. If you give me a bass score I can play it on baritone/euph and trombone, but no go for anything else, lol.
