Like Moths to Flames usually does a great job of pumping me up, or making me feel empowered. It's just intense, and very passionate. I'd say they're one of the most generic bands I listen to, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I just think these guys can write SOME CATCHY ASS SONGS. Great hooks, awesome vocal delivery, and some GROUNDSHAKING breakdowns.

I've been going through a lot of hard shit lately trying to change things in my life to become a better father and husband. I was bummed out the other day and then I ran across this:



Hearing the lyric "I've been erased from the old me" really struck a chord with me, and the fact that something like that was put over grooves like Volumes writes just blew me away. It kind of in a way flipped a switch in my brain and gave me more motivation to make changes for good rather than taking the easy route and being how I used to be.

Does anyone have any music that just sends out inspiring or encouraging vibes like this?

funny you mention that. this is one of my fav albums of 2014. i also was struggling with some anxiety and depression a few months ago, and this got a lot of playtime.

My band (check my sig) has pretty motivational lyrics. Ben (our vocalist) writes sort of darker-styled lyrics but they're meant to kind of be the whole "You're not alone in facing your problems" sort of thing. Definitely a cut above the average metalcore lyrics.
