As the title says, my pickups eat up like 1 battery almost every month. Is this normal? Or are my batteries shit?

Do you leave your guitar plugged in when not in use at all?

A battery a month with heavy playing sounds fairly normal.

You're right. You should get about 6 months out of an alkaline 9 volt. You might want to have it looked at.

Did you install the pickups yourself? If the wires are constantly in circuit with the jack then they will run out of power even when the lead is not inserted. Have a think about it and check the wiring against an accurate diagram. The circuit should be broken when the lead is removed.

I can get almost a year out of 9vs if I'm lucky on EMGs. I prefer to change them before that but I almost never have a battery start to die on me before it's been AWHILE.

When I had Blackouts on my main 6&7 and a busy gigging schedule, I got about 3-4 months for each 1 battery on each guitar.
