That top/bottom trem mount thing is a great idea! It looks super slick. Btw one last question, where did you get a chrome pop-in bar for an edge? I thought they were all black.

HNGD dude!!!
I got it back in 2009, so it's technically not a NGD. ;)

One of the Ibanez guitars that I bought brand-new came with this chrome bar. I believe it was the S1520FB when I got it in 2000 but I'm not sure.

Next time I design a custom specs it will go that way;

Luthier: "and for the neck, what, maple, ebony? "
Me: "Both"
Luthier: "Wha....."

Thats a neat idea, my worry would be not about the truss rod but about, with time, the two woods not moving the same way and the board losing er...level-ness.

Reminds me of the old Maverick Matrix series guitars, which had the same sort of fretboard.

Really beautiful! I do mirror the concern Andromalia had... possible twisting or something from the woods not aging the same. Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about... so there's that.

I NEED IT! How much did that run you? Rather, how much more did that run you over a single material neck?

The route is extra small because it is done in two parts; for the block and for the arm holder:

The spring cavity is the same width as the neck centerpiece.

That's just beautiful.
