My first 7. Which one?

Got a 7321 and hard case, both brand new, for about $420 a couple weeks ago, and I love it. Action came a wee bit low but I've seen no problems with frets or anything. A great budget buy.

Edit: I'm not sure if this is me or the guitar, but I found it exceedingly comfortable and got used to the extra string very quickly. I've also hear good things about schecter

I know the scale length is an inch longer than what you wanted, but my first seven was the Schecter Damien Elite 7... got a ridiculous deal on it NEW for $390.

That was a great guitar to start with for me, I would recommend it to anyone.

Alternatively, you could always find a used Squier stagemaster 7 (I've seen em go for $99-$199), and mod the crap out of it. They have thin necks, and are 25.5" scale.

Call me weird, but I love the look of the purple one. I had a black one and it was okay. I drilled some holes and put on a cool pickguard. Definitely switch out the stock pickups though, they aren't good for ANYTHING haha. Surprisingly enough though, it plays really fast and is relatively easy to play for a "cheap" guitar.
