that looks amazing, i only have one gripe with it:

the tremolo routing. it looks like it has been routed for some Korean knock-off bridge. I dunno if you intend to put in that tremolo that rusty cooley uses (and if you do that's fine) but if not, it just doesn't look right IMO.

Thanks for the Comments, the 7321 Neck is Courtney's Test fit neck, for now it will be a 7620 Neck with the bubinga skunk strip. But the Plan is to get a custom neck!

That african mahogany look great, the grain is perfect for the kind of finish I want on this beast.

The only thing missing to get it shipped to me is to get made an insert in the pickup cavitie to acommodate standard passive pickup, we had a little misunderstanding and it was routed for a SD Blackout, so Courtney and I found a way to solve this problem elegantly!

By the way, this guitar is called "Helvete".....

Thanks guys! Glad you like the....wood! :hbang:

The trem routing is actually for the Lo-Trs Ibanez trem. It's a bit wider than the regular and has that angle behind the pivot points (see pic circled in red). The angle that I put in the trem pocket is different than the angle that's on the trem, which is much like the picture in this post, because I thought it would make for a cool visually effect. I actually just found this pic on the net so I could visually show you the angle that I'm talking about on this trem, but it's ironic to see whos ever guitar this is looks like they had the same thing in mind.

The neck that you see is one of a few 7 string Ibanez necks that I have to make sure the neck pocket is nice and snug. I just grabbed this one to take pics because it was closest.

As soon as we figure out a design for the insert Helvete will be going home. :D

heres a silly question: the 7620, 7321, 7421 all the same neck pocket?

or are all the RG7s the same neck pocket size?

I know for a fact that japan vs Korean 6 string pockets are different on rg's as are different years of production, not trying to rain on the party or anything but chances are the neck pockets are different so you might need to do a bit of work to get it snug on the real thing. The mounting holes also tend to be in different spots too so the neck may need redrilling. Great work though, that body looks mint!

alright, so i have a japanese RG7421, im looking for a mahogany body. one pickup. volume. and id like to use my current bridge, or one of the hipshot 7 bridges. where do i go to get this? im confident that i can finish it myself. but chris woods seems to be out, because hes got nothing but unhappy customers.

i just dont want to buy a body and have it not fit.

This body is a 7 string, basically a 7620, but with a different trem pocket rout to accomodate a Lo-TRS trem.
