I don't know if that would be a proper topic for you, but a video explaining how to program interesting drum beats/grooves would be highly appreciated.

My general rule of thumb is snare on 2 and 4, kick on 1 and 3, everything else to taste. I suggest you rather check your favorite drummers clinic videos and do what he does.
