There's this one tone that I love that I can not achieve. And it's not a WHOLE tone so much as a part of.

When he bounces from high to low is what I'm talking about. Specifically when he bounces to the low. There's a low, punchy honk to it that I just fucking love! And I want to know; what exactly is that honk coming from? More bass? More mids? Just his picking technique?
Also, what pickups could I put in a guitar (RG7620 and RG7321. Later upgrade to RG1077XL. All Basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard equipped guitars) that can get me closer to this with loads of clarity? I can't really afford Bareknuckles but if it's my best shot, I will save.
I THINK he's using an SH-6 in the video but I'm not 100% positive. Ola changes pickups a LOT.
Also, the amp will be an EVH 5150III 50W through a Genz Benz GB412 G-Flex cab (I finally got to play an EVH with my Genz Benz!!! Not choosing any other head!).
