-customizable character (preferred)
-first or third person
-3D
-to steal my soul

Well, technically you could hack and slash in Mass Effect. Other than what has already been mentioned, I don't know of much else.

Since you liked Oblivion, how about Might and Magic Dark Messiah. It had me hooked for the 15-20 hours it lasted. Also was kinda good to run through again with a different class. It was the best 1st person hack & slash I've played. Still the only game that got the responsiveness of melee combat down right in my opinion.

Im not shure what a point and click is. but yes you can point and click to attack an enemy, but theirs ALOT more then that. I have been playing for 4 years. best game ever imo

After much thought and deliberation, I have decided that you just need to forget what a "point-and-click" game is and try everything. Lord of the Rings Online is basically like free WoW. Very fun.

I've never encountered anything more addicting than Minecraft.

And this is coming from a guy that's been to rehab for coke addiction (clean since July 08! woot!), and is currently smoking a cigarette, drinking whiskey, and laying next to the girl he just had sex with (and coke, whiskey, sex and nicotine are all very addicting )
