A Different Logic
Hey all... here's the deal:
If I drop some grooves into the Daw (Cubase 5), and later on decide that the tempo is too fast or too slow, I have to manually replace each note into the correct spot on the grid after changing the master tempo in the DAW. What happens is, the grid adjusts itself to the new tempo, the click track follows the new tempo as well, but the midi notes stay in the exact same spot, playing at the original speed.
When I used Cubase SX3 and ez drummer, it was enough to just change the tempo in the DAW and the grooves would automatically play at that tempo, automatically readjusting the midi notes to fall correctly into place.
Does anyone know how to fix this? is it a quantization problem, or a sync problem?
