NERGAL’S BACK IN THE HOSPITAL | GroundhogDaySucks

According to the article is that he developed an infection and was taken back to the hospital and that at this time it is unknown if this infection will affect his recent bone marrow transplant he underwent to treat his leukemia. Let's hope it's only a minor thing. Get well soon Nergal.

Given that Leukemia makes you very prone to infections, or rather, takes away the bodies ability to properly fight the infections, this is probably just for safety reasons to make sure the infection doesn't get out of control

Not good, infection is the biggest killer of people recovering from cancer treatment. Lets hope he gets through this.

Let's hope that's all it is.

Nergal Reportedly Back In The Hospital | Metal Insider

It was only two weeks ago when we reported the good news that Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski left the hospital shortly after receiving a bone marrow transplant for his leukemia. However, we now report that only six weeks after the transplant procedure, Nergal is back in the hospital. According to Fakt.pl, Nergal has been readmitted to the hematology division of Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne (UCK) in Gdansk due to a development of infections. At the moment, the state of his condition and how long he will have to stay in the hospital is not publicly known. It is extremely sad to see this happen, especially after he appeared to be doing so well. Hopefully Nergal will once again get on the right path to recovery. Though when one’s immune system is weak, such infections can prove to be dangerous, even life-threatening. As always, we will keep you updated when more is revealed about his condition, and our best wishes go out to Nergal and his family/friends.

Oh damn, I was SO happy to hear about his recent recovery. I love Behemoth and Nergal is an awesome dude. I hope this is just a temporary set-back.

Kinda makes you wonder how long he could be prone to infections, and if so, is touring something he'll be able to do in the future. Dammit all!

For now, let's just hope he makes it out of this. I'm sure he isn't ready to bow out by any means.

all depends on the white blood cell count really. Pretty sure he will have blood tests monthly if not weekly for a long time to come, as well as marrow samples probably every few months and it all depends on the results.
