Hoping Fates Warning gets to work on the new album after Arch/Matheos wraps up (not that I'm wanting that incarnation to wrap up, but dammit, I need me some new Fates!)

I'll believe it when I hear it.

Sonata Arctica - Stones Grow Her Name (samples sound extremely promising to me)
Circus Maximus - Nine
Jani Liimatainen + Timo Kotipelto - acoustic album

Fetus, Fear Factory, and Ihsahn are about the only ones I'm still "really" looking forward to.

I also thought there was a TesseracT ep/new record coming out sometime soon too?

Yeah, it's an acoustic EP called 'Perspectives' (which includes acoustic "re-imaginations" of old songs with Elliot on vocals) which comes this week I think. A new album is due sometime, not sure if it's this year.

Gojira-Le Elephant Sausage

Wait a minute...

Boards of Canada? Now that I am excited for.

BTBAM is also very high on my list. I loved the EP and the direction it was headed. Then again, most BTBAM releases are profoundly different.

And how could one forget The Contortionist? Exoplanet is one of my favourite albums, so I can't wait to hear what they have in store for the new album.

EDIT: Periphery is another one I am excited for.
