I have a bunch of amps, but I’ve never gotten into the high gain stuff. I’ve always been a more Marshall/Orange type guy. I decided to snag a high gainer and I’m super excited!

snagged this mint 6505+ from a former band mate.

Sounds great so far! Going to record some clips this weekend.

I had a buddy come over with his new Balaguer Hyperion Semi Custom. I helped him build his first pedal (a SHO type boost) and I ran it all into my new amp. Sounds pretty Sick!

Nice old school In Flames riff! The tone is rad, it filled out well once boosted.

Old In Flames is the Trve In Flames. Lol.

The boost is a super simple and effective one. It shines with lower gain, but man it works in this situation too.

Noice!

Just grabbed my first 6505 not to long ago after owning many years of many high dollar "boutique" amps and have to say the ol PV does not disappoint. I do want to grab a 6505+ to compare side by side as I remember playing one in a GC years ago and being impressed how tight it was.

Grats! Really want one of these myself. Are you using a boostpedal in front?

Good choice.
I'm in that minority that slightly prefers the 5150II/6505+ over the 5150/6505.
Compared to the 5150/6505, the 5150II/6505+ are tighter due to more high pass filtering in the red/Lead channel that gets rid of the low down rumble and consequently I found they don't ever need a TS-style boost at all unless you're playing super low tuned hyper techdjentdeathblahblah or just looking for a very specific sound you can only get from a certain boost.
