After considerable searching for a good deal on a new (used) amp, I found this - a Marshall 6100lm head for $1400Aud - and thought I'd share some pics!

After playing for a few days at different volume levels and settings, I reckon this is the most versatile amp I've ever played - while still retaining that plug in and go feeling of vintage gear.
Crystal clear warm clean channel, 4 classic crunch modes, and a super high gain lead channel. Switches from 100 watts down to 50 and 25 so you can really crank it. Boosted, the lead channel totally slays
, doesnt sound like a marshall at all, sounds epic with the 7 string. Crunch channels are where the marshall tone is at. Uses 5881's, a version of 6l6s, probably why the lead channel is so different from other marshalls.
My favourite thing ever:

Low volume compensation switch!
So there you go...for anyone interested in a pretty unique amp!
