I actually like how the clip sounds, I like it more than what the guitar sounds like in person.

Then I probably wouldn't care for it much in person.

Either way, it seems that some new pickups are in order.

That thing looks mean. :metal:

I'd suggest trying a DiMarzio X2N7 in it. It filled out the tone in my basswood bodied guitar.

Killer!! :metal: The black pickgaurd looks so much better and the absence of the single coil just makes it perfect. Not really digging the diamond plate though.

I may have a bit of a problem.

There's the understatement of the century.

I like the overall look of it, but those scream "white pearloid pickguard" to me.

Was the bridge or neck pickup swapped? They should match cosmetically.

So, learn that SS song by ear, or is there a tab somewhere that I can grab? heh

Haha!

Yeah the bridge pickup was swapped for an Evo 7 by the previous owner. I just found a Guitar Pro tab for that song...

Sweet! Thanks for the linkage. :)

The Evo7 has a lot of high mids and presence, from what I remember of the one I had. Something with more low mids, like a Blaze Custom, might work better. I'm not gonna tell you to swap it though, just don't hold the pickup against the guitar after you sell it.

No problem man!

I don't think the pickup or the guitar sound bad at all, it's just not really my style. My Schenker V finally arrived today, and as soon as I plugged it in, that real nice crunch tone that I love was present again. All mahogany body and neck with a Duncan Custom/'59 combo. :agreed:

The UV is cool, and looks killer, but it's just not for me. :)

Thank the lord, Jesus Christ!!!!!

I was skimming through NetMusicians.org a while ago and came across this clip, and it drove me insane because I couldn't for the life of me come up with the name of the song or who did it, but I knew I knew it. I'm finally at peace. :D

Sick guitar. I'd like it better if it was still the mirror, but with only the dual humbuckers.
