I thought it was "meh". The clean stuff in the beginning was kinda cool and the end was cool, but the vocals were disappointing. Where's the aggression?

I'm 100% sure that Hetfield won't be able to nail de vocals live on this song

Actually the idea behind the song isn't that bad, but man, all the heavy riffs sound like a band that just started to play... all cliches and worn out ideas (solo included).

Please, I want the last Testament album now!

I turned it off when the snare started  god it sounded terrible already, I'll listen again in like half an hour when I've built up a wall to protect me from the aural pollution

It never got any better  oh well

Could they slam it any harder with a limiter? You can hear the whole track distorting towards the end...

That's MySpace, not the recording. I just listened to it on the radio and the sound quality was excellent.

On first listen through I kinda like it, but it all sounds a little dry. The parts towards the end especially. It wasn't amazing, or anything, but to be honest my expectations weren't all that high anyway.
I hope the album has songs more memorable than that. It's only been like a minute or two since I listened to it and I can't remember half of it towards the end. Kind of all over the place.

Maybe it's the quality of the digital track uploaded on myspace (squashed to hell, as mentioned earlier), but the production sounds horrible. The longer I listened, the more I could hear the St. Anger snare drum creeping in. That said, I thought the beginning was great, if not overlong by a few measures. The rest of the song is just a mishmash and a sequence of undeveloped musical ideas- I don't understand why they think they can get away with that.

I actually kinda dig it. Not "puppets" dig it, but you know. I think they found a decent balance between what they were doing load/reload and what they were in the 80s. Being a fan of both of those eras i can't really complain.

Well, I kind of liked the guitar melody during the verse, and the 6:13-6:27 jauntiness was pretty fun.

*ducks*

The difference in opinion about this song between two of the forums I regularly use is just hilarious. SS.org generally hate it, the other generally loves it. Personally I think it's pretty good, especially the first half of the song.

I wrote down the lyrics, they're about domestic abuse/a broken home from what I interpret:

Born to push you around,
Better just stay down,
You pull away,
He hits the flesh,
You hit the ground,

Mouth so full of lies,
Tend to block your eyes,
Just keep him close,
Keep praying,
Just keep waiting.

Waiting for the one,
The day that never comes,
When you stand up and feel the warmth,
But that sunshine never comes, No,
No the sunshine never comes...

Push you across that line,
Just stay down this time,
Hide in yourself,
Crawl in yourself,
You'll have your time.

God i'll make them pay,
Take it back one day,
I'll end this day,
I'll splatter color on this grave.

Waiting for the one,
The day that never comes,
When you'll stand up and feel the warmth,
But the sunshine never comes...

Love is a four letter word,
And never spoke in here,
Love is a four letter word,
Here in this prison.

I suffer this no longer,
I put it into this I swear,
This I swear,
The sun will shine,
This I swear,
This I swear,
This I swear.

I don't really like it that much. I thought the intro was a bit too long. The production is very poor considering it's metallica, it sounds like a local rock band recording for the most part. I must say I like the 2 guitar interplay in the second half/end of the song.
I have to say too that this definitely sounds like Metallica, not them trying to be modern(St.Anger) it's very similar to the classic rock type things they are oh so fond of trying to emulate.
Anyone here know Slough Feg? I think parts are very similar to the style of stuff they do.

:noway: - Crap - :noway:

Lest we forget:

Dealing out the agony within
charging hard and no one's gonna give in
Living on your knees, conformity
or dying on your feet for honesty
Inbred, our bodies work as one
bloody, but never cry submission
Following our instinct not a trend
go against the grain until the end

Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

Slamming through, don't fuck with razorback
stepping out? You'll feel our hell on your back
Blood follows blood and we make sure
life ain't for you and we're the cure
Honesty is my only excuse
Try to rob us of it, but it's no use
Steamroller action crushing all
Victim is your name and you shall fall

Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

We chew and spit you out
we laugh, you scream and shout
All flee, with fear you run
You'll know just where we come from

Damage Incorporated

GO!

Damage jackals ripping right through you
sight and smell of this, it gets me goin'
Know just how to get just what we want
tear it from your soul in nightly hunt
Fuck it all and fucking no regrets
Never happy endings on these dark sets
All's fair for Damage Inc. you see
step a little closer if you please

Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

Yup, that WAS the hope. But, looks like I got more of the self absorbed, look inward at oneself, where's my psychiatrist, shitty percussion, lame guitar tracks, tame bass, weak vocals, half-assed garbage once again.

Fuck 'Em All. I'd rather give my money to Coldplay.

:scream: - Nooooooooooooo-ahhhhh..

Another Unforgiven Song
I should have known
They fail so much in what i've shown
Never rock
Always suck
Ohhhh, what might have been
If they didn't sell out
Cut their hair
They fail so much in what i've shown
Never Metallica again
Never Puppets will be...
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN Three...... ooooohhhh yeaaaaah....
