New Mix (Demoraliser - Checkmate)

Hey,

Over the past few months I got myself a Pod / DFH and started tracking some stuff for my band, Demoraliser. We ended up releasing an EP a while back, but I've recently revisited a song to have a play with and this is what it came out like.

Any crit would be welcome, but I've only been at this a little while and pretty much guessed everything. Thanks!

By no means would I say that I'm versed in recording/producing, but for what it's worth, that sounds much better, in my opinion of course, than the mix on your myspace. Much sharper. Sounds like you backed off a bit on the mids for the guitar tracks?

You've gained a new fan by the way.

That's great to hear, thanks a lot. I took a fair bit of bass off and used a new ampsim/plugins to get a filthy bass tone. For the guitars I added different EQ plugin with the Waves Linear EQ, I messed around with it until everything became that bit more sharper. There was some small tweaks on the vocals, giving them a bit more punch and widened them a bit!
