Oh totally, that is ultimately how you retain customers and it ends up paying for itself 10-fold in the long term. I just hate it when the vendor that I am trying to build a trust-based relationship with gets shafted by the courier on a transaction I was a part of. Particularly, as you say, when it is an independent dealer. I guess I just feel bad for them, even though that is just part of their operating costs as a dealer/retailer.True. But smart move on Nick's part. Had he just pointed the finger at USPS and not done anything, it would be undermine his role as a trustworthy independent dealer. This is the kind of thing that goes a long way to building a loyalty that pulls people away from ordering direct, or through a big corp.
