That's New F&$king Engl God D#%n Cabinet Day!

This thing is a beast! It weigh more than some 4x12 cabs I've hefted... the UPS man left it on the doorstep and knocked, and as I opened the door to get it, he was across the street looking at me like "how dare you..."

Man this thing sounds GOOD. Thick, clean and warm and compliments the sheer aggression of the Engl e530, which is what I'm using to power it, in stereo. If I run my ISP Theta Preamp into the returns of the e530, jesus... I just found out AGAIN why I love the ISP stuff...

I hated every Celestial G12T-75's I've ever heard in any and every type of cab that has them (personal taste, just wasn't my thing). Sort of put a bad taste in my mouth about Celestions. However, these V30's in this cab sound amazing. Very smooth and open and not a lot of harshness on the top end. I see why folks like them so much!

Anyway... PICTURES!!!!

Damn dog photo-bombed...

Trying out with just the Engl e530:

Here she is all fixed up with the Engl e530 powering her up with/without the Theta in the loop.

VERY happy with this guy so far!!!! Best deal I've ever had with Guitar Center...

Nice cab. I've been wanting a 2x12 too. Mainly for easier transport. Currently when I transport my rig, my car is completely filled. My rack has to go on the front passenger seat with a guitar case in front of that.

Your dog looks a lot like one of mine, unfortunately you can't see him as well, the one on the left.

Happy new cab day! I love the look of ENGL's 2x12. I have a Slanted 4x12 PRO with V30's and its probably the most perfect cab for my sound. Definitely sturdy cabs too!

Thats some nice gear..

How wel does the e530 power the cab? Its got like 1 Watt, can it get loud and have any punch or is it just enough for practice?

They most certainly do. bout 11 years ago the guitarist in my band and his girlfriend got one. I was always a fan of larger breeds before that and loved the thing. A couple months later I got Benson at 7 weeks old.

To me it's pretty frakkin' loud... I don't play with real drummers so in not sure if it could keep up, but there's plenty of punch for sure... The v30's rock. I think they are long broken in by the previous owner.

And the ISP Theta sounds INCREDIBLE through the cab.

Beautiful! I got the Engl 1 x 12 just because I wanted something lighter for my home set up. They're definitely made incredibly well. Great dogs too btw!
