Hey All, Got this a little while ago and haven't really had a chance to put it to good use yet, which is killing me. I want to thank 7StringDemon for giving me the push I needed to grab this. I should add that this is not his axe, just very similar. PICS!

Old school Ibanez case - Couldn't believe how much nicer (in a vintage sort of way) it feels compared to the newer ones.

Well what can I say about this beauty.. Unfortunately, not much at the moment. I know it looks purdy in the pics but this girl is in need of some attention. Due to bills and a possible move, I decided I would wait a month and let payday cover the set up. In the mean time, I did something I've never done before.. Took her to pieces! I took everything apart save the pickups and gave it all a good clean. The frets polished up well enough but it did occur to me that I could've done a much better job. First time, so I'll learn.

When I did get it basically set up, I had some time to have a play around and for what's it's worth unplugged and half finished it feels great! The neck profile is a little rounder than other RG's I have played but it feels fabulous.

I'm thinking either EVO's or Blackhawks in this badboy. I haven't actually tried Blackhawks but I'm willing to take the risk. In the meantime it comes with PAF pro's I believe, if it's good enough for Passion and Warfare I can certainly give them a whirl.

I noticed a few of you guys getting your girlfriends involved in NGD's recently, thought I'd give that a go! This is as willing as she'd be on a Sunday morning though :spock:

Awesome looking guitar, but that final "I'll include my girlfriend!" photo was just hilarious.
Hope you love it even more once it's back from it's setup!

I've said this many times, but I consider this to be the best Prestige model Ibanez has ever offered, aside from comparable limited edition pieces and the stuff built by the J-Custom team. Congratulations, man.

HNGD! :hbang:

You should definitely update when you do the pick up swap. I have the same guitar, and I'm curious as to how a pick up swap will sound with the blackhawks. Although if I do a swap, I would go dimarzio cause its cheaper

Cheers guys! I will update when I sort the pickup swap. Since I'm in the UK BKP's wouldn't set me back a huge amount more than EVO's anyway. Not sure whether to go Ceramic or Alnico..

HNGD and congratulations on a rare find. Those RGTs with the Lo-Pro EDGE are hard to come by! I used to have a RGT3170TB with the EDGE Pro.
