NGD: Beautiful Early 90's Ibanez S

Found this great guitar on Craigslist like 2-3 weeks ago but I was extremely busy with exams. I also didn't get it fully setup till last week with the pickups, full setup, and new strings.

It's a really great condition 1991 Ibanez 450s. It's got the H-S-H pickup config and original Edge trem which is just great for trem abuse.

I swapped out the shitty V1/V2 pups and dropped in an Air Norton and Steve's Special. It's now got EB coated 10-46 slinkys and I love it.

Honestly I felt the V1/V2 were muddy and not very articulate in the bridge and the neck was very weak and not smooth for me.

The Steve's special is good but you have to EQ your setup because it's kinda got a scooped eq. So I added a bit of mids and rolled of the bass and it's pretty nice.

It's pretty damn good. I can get some solid JP style tones to very harmonically rich stuff like EVH (off course need to EQ)
