This guitar is insane! The craftsmanship and the level of detail is amazing

Unfortunately I had to go to work after I recieved it (I even had to stay at work during the night...

)

The playability and sound is outstanding. Patrick's pickups are the best pickups I ever had...
The way they react to the volume poti is insane! (you can play everything from jazz to OMGWTF metal)

My initial fear was that the scale length would be too big for my little hands, but it turned out that it's perfect!!!

I'll write a detailed review once I have played it for a couple of weeks...

(hopefully I'll be able to post some sound samples during the next week)

I'd also like to tell you that Patrick is an awesome guy to deal with. I always felt like talking to a friend and he really cares for his customers!

It's used to prevent sympathetic string vibration behind the nut and subsequent amplification of that sound, particularly on higher gain settings. It's particularly noticeable when going for metal high gain rhythm chops. Hope I could help.
