So I bought a Chapman ml-7t from Andertons in Guildford. This guitar is the best guitar i've ever owned. The bang for your buck is absolutely astounding. It sounds perfect for me. plays like an absolute treat. this guitar retails at £499 which is just unrivalled. Here's why:

3 piece swamp ash body.
3 piece maple neck.
Ebony fretboard.
24 extra jumbo frets
Set thru neck
26.5" scale length
TUSQ nut
Hipshot bridge
Hipshot locking tuners.
Chapman designed humbuckers (which actually sound awesome for stock pups)

The frets on this thing are finished very, very nicely and bending is effortless as there's no grating, grinding feeling you usually get on guitars with a similar sort of price tag. the neck construction is super solid and the heel is very comfortable. The maple neck is unfinished so its very fast. The guitar comes set up extremely well and each guitar from Andertons are quality checked and set up upon arrival to the store. This guitar overall is super solid , nice and bright and just an absolutely superb instrument. Once you play one, you will truly realise how much value for money these things are.

As for andertons, their service was impeccable. Me and my friend went down from Scotland specifically to visit andertons to make a purchase. Super friendly staff, there was no pressure put on you, you get to go into a private booth to try guitars out with whatever amp you want and you also don't get the feeling that you're pestering or annoying any of the staff when trying guitars which was relaxing. I've had bad experiences with that in the past. If you're ever considering buying another guitar, then I couldn't recommend Andertons enough. Their overseas shipping is also incredibly fast and easy.

Nice, HNGD! I'm also going to buy 7-string guitar soon and this could be the one. It's so hard to decide because I can't test one of these anywhere. I tried all possible 7-string guitars at local music store and liked Schecter C-7 most. Have you ever played one? I would like to know how good ML-7 is when compared to C-7.

I REALLY need to try one of these. They seem too good to be true. Unlike a lot of people I dig the headstock.

HNGD!

GuitarWorks in Calgary. I've been meaning to get in touch with Rick and see if AXE will, but I can't say I've got much influence over him :p

I just talked with my supplier, we cant get these for another 6 months. That guy in Calgary holds exclusive dealing rights until then...

Try RIFF CITY in Minnesota. I think they have some. May be worth asking what shipping would be like.

Its pretty much not worth buying anything from the states right now with the exchange rate IMO. A base model Carvin DC7xx would cost me around $1300.

Are you referring tovthe blackjack sls c7 or the bog standard c7

I have played SLS and standard C7 and really liked both of them, but I think SLS felt slightly better for my hands.

Ah. I had to look extremely closely on the top because the bookmatch is so hidden it looks like one piece but I knew the back was 2 piece.
