Hey guys, so had these guitars for over a month or so now and so happy to be playing JPs again. I've owned or played pretty much every model (except for JP15, 16, and a Koa) and the BFR base specs were always my favorite (alder, 15 inch radius, maple tops, CL/LF, etc.). When I saw the maple neck and maple board I had to have one. Well......I liked the JP7 so much that I got a 6 as well! Would have loved another finish but these were only in Tobacco, so I can live with it!! I can't get enough of the unfinished maple neck! Pics and gallery:

I dislike all the JP13+ because of the active preamp: without batteries the guitar is dead, and this makes me mad.

I sold my BFR Koa because it was too heavy (I mean, the weight of a heavy Les Paul) and too dark sounding, the top was beautiful though.

And yes, the unfinished necks have the best feel of 'em all, just like the first models.

NGD and have fun.

Both of those look great (I feel like there should be a production maple board JP added to the permanent lineup!), but the top on that 6'er... Damn!!! :yum:

Thanks guys! Yeah, they are wonderful guitars and I'm having a blast with them. Only wish I could have got these exact specs with another finish on one of them, but that's not the biggest deal obviously. And I agree on the six's top, the quilt is really really deep in person, almost 3Dish effect.
