Please behold my steel paul, it's an all metal bodied LP with a very detailed relic finish (neck, pickups, paint), inspired by the Gibson Slash model from a french luthier called Loic Lepape.

It plays amazing, has tons of harmonics due to the hollow body and violin type wood armature inside. Pickups are handwound PAF style humbucker called Savage beast, Savage Beast Luxe .

Rosewood fretboard and sperzel locking tuners, this guitars inspires me every day! Both pickups have push pull volumes for coil spliting and the guitar has an out of phase switch for some added funky fun as well.

As you can see, the body is all metal, front and back and the steel has been shaped into a carved top!

It's not really a NGD as I got this guitar 4 months ago but still HNGD!! :hbang:

Your title should read, "Not Fiber Optic friendly" :squint:

OK, ok, let me change that...

Fiber optics version:

I will try to record it today, easier to define the tone with sound bites than trying to express it in english.

I just updated the pictures, imageshack thumbnails are just way too small.

Yep, there's the build website:
English - Loïc Le Pape

Loic is very passionate and is an old school guy. You have to order via phone and it will be 4-5 long phone calls about the sound you want from the instrument, who you are as a musician, history of metal guitars and thinking about what neck wood would be best etc... Really nice experience and he's 100% behind all guitars he builds!

I am currently working with him on a completely destroyed looking lespaul for heavy metal with stylish bee hives pattern holes on the front and back of the body for a certain type of resonance. (djent :agreed:)

Nice, I would like to know how that was made, I love all things metal and the fabrication portion sounds cool..

Is the guitar cold as in temperature?
I can see it being hot/cold sensitive and not something you want to leave in the sun!

There's a video of the builder but it's in French, let me dig around, maybe I'll find an english version.

The guitar feels colder than my other guitars when I take it out of the stand but quickly warms up to body temp.

It's not a good idea to play it naked in the winter though

Le Pape, making heavy relics haha... sorry
Looks wonderful

Is the body made all of metal, painted with a mahogany alike texture on the back, or with wood and metal top?

That is a way cool piece you have there! I would never have guess that it was made of metal. The sound is so unique too! That clean sound you have there reminds me of a thicker Fender strat type sound. Just awesome! HNGD!

Yep, le pape likes vintage objects...

The body is hollow and completly made of metal, front and back. My model is a bit different as it has a resonant piece of wood inside, a little bit like how violin are made.

The amazing look of the back is because the metal has been slighty rusted before being lighty painted. Lepape used to work on steel and knows how to impart some very nice taints and colors with controlled rusting while stopping the aging process when it's enough.
