its fucking epic to play, even with the 74 it holds D#1 nd intonates dead on. the tone from it is brill, the emgs are angelic on clean and demonic on distortion. ill give a better review in a few days.

That neck seems huge, even for a Schecter. How does the heel feel? I currently have a Damien 7, and was thinking of upgrading to the guitar you just got.

Congratulations on the new axe!

if by huge u mean thick, its not atall thick, it feels bwt the same as the rg2228. the neck joint is ok for me cos im use to them (and perfer them to the 'sculptured' ones) and i absolutly recommend it. and thanks

You put it in D# with the 74?
I tried going into E with the stock strings and it was flop all around. I had to drill out the tuner and go bigger to get good tension.

im not a fan of tight bass strings on my guitars, i use a 66 (on a 25.5) for G# on my 7. plus i'll be getting a 80 for it soon anyhow.

Congratulations on the new axe!

The necks on these are thinner and narrower than agiles and quite comfortable. It is thinner than my 007 schecters neck by a noticeable amount as well.

i siad id give it a full review a few days after i 1st put this up.

1st off this guitar is much better than previous 8 strings ive played (in guitar shops. RG2228 and a ltd fm-408). the emgs are brilliant, cleans are crystal and teh distrotions are dirty but clear. the 26.5" scale works perfectly for me. i tune down to drop D#1 and it intonates dead on (to all of the peopel on this site that siad it wont, prooved you wrong :p) the neck is comfortable, and thin (not baseball bat atall), the grover rotomatics (18:1) are brill and percise. over all best 8 string ive come across.

most proberly so they dont charge the same stupid price as stuck up ibanez.

I'm sure casting a few plates wouldn't cost them much or add much to the price. There's a lot to be said in the quality difference of Schecter's and Ibby's, I don't really need to say more than that.
