OK, not quite NDG pictures, I received this guitar at my workplace and I was very nervous about the spalted top that I forgot to take pics... and took me a couple more days to upload because I was working on the video, anyway...

This is my 2nd Carvin (the first one was a DC800) and they again exceeded my expectations!! I'm overwhelmed by the spalted flamed maple top, I sent a reference picture and the result was very, very close. The axe is super comfortable, that tung-oiled neck is flawless. The A70 sound very consistent with the A80 from my previous Carvin, very close to the Seymour Duncan Blackouts but slightly darker.

As the last time, it was ready 1 week before the estimated date.

Thanks Carvin and cheers everyone

How's the Floyd? Is that the Licensed or Original one that they recently started offering?

I think it's licensed because it doesn't say anything. Performance wise, I perceive no difference compared to my other Floyds (original).

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's spalted top from Carvin is the spaltiest of them all ..."

I thought mine was insanely figured, but I think you may win...

Congrats, and that top is absolutely amazing. You can see that it's bookmatched which they did a fantastic job with as it's nearly seamless from what I can see in the pics, but the two sides are so uniquely different from one another behind the bridge. They really nailed it with the board selection and cut on this one.

Just out of curiosity, would you mind posting the reference pic that you sent to carvin?
