NGD: Fat Bottom Girls, You Make the Jazz'in World Go Round (PRS Quilt 10 Content)

Lately I've been playing clean a lot and starting to learn some jazz... as a result when this popped up on ebay for a ridiculously high price I figured what the hell I'd make a reasonable offer and get turned down. Thing was I didn't get turned down so I am now the proud owner of a '98 PRS McCarty Archtop II with double quilt 10 tops.

I am loving this guitar. The tone, feel, and playability are all awesome. The frets are currently in MAJOR need of a cleaning, but I'm waiting for a set of Phase II locking tuners and some flame maple pickup rings and switch tip before I do the clean / setup on it. I'm going to try a set of Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Swing 12 flatwounds on this, and if I don't like them I have a set of my usual Elixirs to fall back on (11s).

This is a guitar you'll never regret buying. I play D'Addario roundwound 12s with a Wound G. Thomastiks feel like 11s, it's kind of a mixed 11-12 set, keep that in mind. Don't remember the exact gauges.

Fuck, this guitar kills on clean jazzy warm tone, you will love it!!
