Sweetwater takes better pics than me soo....

The story with this one is that I was talking with Mr. Sean Ashe (look him up on youtube/facebook) and he made me see that its time I step up to the big leagues and get a quality guitar. Boy am I glad I got her!!!

I also own a Sterling JP70, and the JP7 is a lot better. The neck is smoother, the frets are wayy better (bending is amazing.) Sterlings are not bad guitars by any means, I just wanted something top of the line.

Im putting the blackhawks from my JP70 into my JP7 pretty soon, so then she will be complete!!! Im soooo glad sweetwater started carrying music man. I wish they would have done it sooner!!

Oh my...that is gorgeous . I have a JP70 on the way, but I'd imagine the EBMMs are quite a bit better. HNGD, enjoy!

Good move out on a classic! Those guitars are great, and the frets feel better because you're playing on Stainless Steel amigo! Enjoy it! HNGD! ;)

I still think the original JP body style is the best and most distinctive one. And the arm scoop ....ing rocks. It's a shame they're basswood. (Not a slam against basswood in general, it just doesn't work for me personally.)

Mystic Dream is my absolute favorite finish even, but DAT FRETBOARD.

I've got wood for your wood, bro.

I would not have gotten my JP13 if they had had that one in stock at the time. Mega-congrats. You're gonna LOVE it :)

Congratulations to the OP on getting what I would consider a classic! I hope that thing brings you many years of happiness :wavey:

What I don't understand is how even though the newer JPs are solid colours they still aren't bringing back the forearm scoop, I mean it's definitely one of the absolute best features of his line. I agree on the points about this being the most memorable JP as well, if I ever got a JP it'd be one of these originals either in that Ruby Red, cause I fell in love with it on the Metropolis DVD, or if it were even possible that Dargie finish, though I don't think that'll ever be offered again.

As a fan of Basswood I don't feel there's anything wrong with the spec :agreed:
