Yyyeeeaah, just scored my first Ibanez.
Traded this for my Jackson Jg-2 head, i think the deal was quite fair for both.
Serial tells its made in -85 at japan.
I was very surprised how clean this guitar was, there isn´t a single ding, not even at the wings.
Just some normal playing wear, frets are worn but have a fair amount of life left.
Every little thing in this is original, from pickups to strap pins, and came with original hardcase ofcourse.
Only the pickguird is modified, in a good way though.
Me happy:agreed:

Whoa! I didn't even know Ibanez ever made a RR style body. I think I like the proportions on this guitar better than the normal RR or even the Alexi. Great find and have fun with it! :shred::hbang:

That's fucking sweet, man. What pickups are on this bad boy?

The original V5, dont like them much coz they have got waaaay too much output for me.
And i should get them dipped in wax asap to eliminate most of the hum.

Me neither.
I found out that they made this guitar only back in -85 (the 1660 series) before Jackson sued their ass off, at least thats what i´ve heard:)

Very cool man! :yesway: My buddy has one of those but it's pretty beat up and has been painted a few times.

Nice guitar, I have always wanted one of those guitars.
Dismember & Cannibal Corpse used them back in the day..
As far as I know it's part of the Pro Line Series, the PL1660 model.
I'd change the pickups, apparently they sound like you're playing under water...

I would love to take it off your hands but I'm moving to Australia in 6 weeks, can only bring one with me..
That plate with the controls on it looks cool, is it engraved or painted?

Varies. I've seen them listed as high as $500-ish, but there's one at my local music-go-round for $170. Some people are really into them. I wanted one pretty badly back in the day, but then 7 strings came along...

If anyone's interested:http://musicgoround.com/detail.aspx?id=904441
