well, i have never owned an Ibanez before so i decided it was time to try. i also knew it i were going to do it, the Ibby would have to be at least a premium ...so i went prestige used

no one really reads this do they? just want to see the pics for clicks!

and since none of these pictures were listed as they were taken i did decide to pull the nasty strings off that were on it and give the fretboard a good lem oil treatment!

some oil is still leaking out ...which is good so i know it has absorbed as much as it can and is not drying out

anyways, i decided to see what pickups were actually it ...apparently it's all original still

well that's what i got. i haven't played it much but i can say the action needs to be lowered to suit me better. may have to do that right away but there doesn't seem to be much room to drop on the "tightend" bridge ...soooooo yeh, hopefully i like it enough to keep it haha

it compares to the Jackson pretty well but when i put it down and immediately picked up my Paul Reed Smith afterwards it didn't hang quite as well to it. i guess i need to do some more tweaking

well did some more work with it, lowered the action and adjusted intonation, it's way faster playing now. finally started to understand why people say that about them now. next i have to get over the neck being so thin and the body being so wide. together it seems really weird

...mind you i normally play a Les Paul for my 6'ers haha

it's different. i'm not set on keeping it yet but i have yet to find anything else i like more than this haha!

the thick body with a thin neck puts my hands/arms in angles i am just not accustomed to. taking some time to get the feel of it. i still have a little time to decide but if i do keep it these pickups will be gone shortly thereafter haha
