The Royal Blue finish has some many different shades depending on the light.

Using Gruv Gear Fretwraps on all my guitars after Fred’s recommendation.

I got this second hand a while ago but never made a NGD for it.
The specs are Royal Blue Finish, Basswood Body,
5-piece Maple/Wenge neck, rosewood fretboard, Edge Pro 7 tremolo.

Amazing guitar. The neck is really smooth and comfortably thin.
Typical Japanese Ibby craftsmanship/built quality. I’m not overly fond of
the basswood body but I can see how its popular with shredders like Vai/Petrucci etc).
I’d really recommend grabbing a second hand one of these and installing
some new pickups. Currently in standard tuning strung with 9.5s it shreds!!!!:shred:

There are a lot of pickup options that compliment basswood so I was
spoilt for choice. I ended up going with a set of Bare Knuckle Miracle
Mans since they are a lot easier to get than white dimarzios in Europe.
They work really well in basswood ibbys. Really tight for riffing and
rounded highs for soloing on the bridge. The neck has a very
smooth/buttery feel but it took me a while of adjusting
their heights to find the right sweet spot. They are very unforgiving though.
I’m not sure but it might be down to the high output. I find I have to concentrate a lot more
when playing since any bad technique/sloppy playing is evident.

I recorded a video with my Axe-Fx. Enjoy!!

Awesome score man!
On a separate note: What are those Fret Wraps like??? Im rocking my GFs scrunchie :)

I really like them. They are a bit expensive for what they do but they are great for recording and look a lot better than a bobbin or ripped up cloth. Plus you can take them off really easily when your changing strings.

Congrats!
Looks great with the white PUs! :yesway:

Great playing, too!:shred:

Cheers dude!! I'm so jealous of your J-custom 7s

I have the same combo, RG1527Z with MM's.

I assume you love it as much as me...

Congrats.

Nice!!! I didn't at the start until I adjusted the pickup height. They sounded real muddy/bassy with a ?paper? like sound:scratch: but as soon as I adjusted the height and found the sweetspot I knew straight away why so many people recommend them for basswood.

Awesome! HNGD! :)

The pups look great, and sound too. I've been quite interested in the BKP miracle man lately.
