First thing's first...This guitar is excellent for the price...
Not much to say about it quality-wise. Had a near perfect set up out of the box except for the action which was a bit higher for what i prefer, no scratches, dents or anything like that. The neck is Ibanez-like thin and the bridge is very comfortable. Only downside is the pick ups which are a bit muddy. Probably going to swap them for a Nazgul- Sentient combo.
Photos doesn't do her justice...the colour is AWESOME....sorry for the awful iPhone pics...

Awesome! I've played these a few times at the local shop, its killer for the price. I have a SD distortion sitting around that needs a guitar to go into, perhaps ill pick one of these up and throw it in...

That is a killer guitar! I've always wanted to try one of these, be it the quilt or black satin version, they look like great guitars! Happy NGD!

Also, Machine Head!! :metal:

Happy NGD !
Yup good guitars for the price and clean for upgrades.
I was wondering if I could remove the PU rings and have the PU direct mounted but filling thz hole on such layers of clear will be visible whatever is done....
Have fun !

...Was also wondering about that 'cause i don't like those PU rings. I'm currently waiting for a Hipshot bridge and tuners to arrive...
while installing those, i will post photos without the pickup rings. I'm also considering a visit to a luthier to maybe route out the PU cavities so i can get rid of the rings and fill the gaps with active sized Seymour Duncans...

I wanted to stay passive but yeah you could do that and consequently get rid of the holes. But keepin those passive would mean filling holes and then paint on it on something and I don't screw up the guitar look...keep us posted !

The Hipshot bridge is identical to the stock Jackson one. NO drilling required...

And here are some photos of the PU Cavities. I took some measurements so later i can check if an active reroute will cover the holes of the PU ring screws so i can get rid off them...

The hipshot is a direct replacement, right? No extra holes needed?
Man, this guitar is really tempting...
