I had been after 2 things for a while: a baritone guitar and a Jackson super strat with a reverse headstock. So, I preordered this the second I saw the announcement. I'd seen mixed things about the Pro Plus line and so was expecting some imperfections, but wow I've been pleasantly surprised. It is completely immaculate. There's not a single paint defect, tool mark, sharp fret, or anything slightly wrong with it. It feels really high quality, it's super light, and it plays amazingly.

I just need some B standard/drop A 6 string songs to learn now while I make use of the stock strings. I'd love some recommendations that are more of the chuggy caveman persuasion.

It is and super dark. You can only see the inlays in the right light.

That looks fantastic. My experiences with the pro series guitars have been mixed. Most from Indonesia have been questionable, while the ones from China seem more consistently good, and ones made in Korea are great.

Glad this worked out for you! Maybe Indonesian stuff is getting better.

Just spent 3 hours in a massive guitar store with quite a few jacksons. Haven't seen newer stuff in person in quite awhile and i was impressed with all the models i saw from china/indo/korea from initial inspection. Obviously couldn't do a full teardown but they look better than i remember few years back

I'm skeptical as well, but the last Indonesian guitar I got was the first of maybe 10 that I've had where the fretwork was very good. And it was actually incredible. Not a high spot in sight. I've had plek'd guitars and this rang out just as nice as those with low action. It was a black metal ltd EX-7 that I wanted to keep so bad but it had the worst balance of any guitar I've ever played. So the diamonds in the rough are out there I guess.

This guitar is so tempting. If it was $999 I'd buy it immediately.

Glad you got an excellent specimen, OP!

Thanks! I'd heard of the issues so I was expecting the worst but genuinely couldn't be happier!

That's really good to hear it's not just me, it's better for everyone when the quality increases and helps ease the pain of the crazy price increases over the past few years.

Thanks! It was £999, and given how UK prices are comparatively much higher, that was a bargain.
Did John Cena make the inlays? I can't see them :hbang:
:hbang:Right?! Even up close in good light they blend in well!
