Quick little sound clip and cover of the beast, gave the keyboard solo in that song a go. Dirty Loops seriously kicks ass, check them out if you haven't yet, you don't know what you're missing.
Anyways, as always. Pictures first, review after.

Yeah. I still can't believe it myself. All I have to say is that I am definitely returning to Sweetwater for my next purchase, whatever it may be. If you guys know about my little debacle that I had with a previous guitar, this is basically the replacement that I found for it. I was told by my friend to check out Sweetwater since they had quite a few Rosewood Neck'd JP's coming in, and I figured I'd give it a shot.
The second I saw this, I called in and spoke to Matt and asked him a few questions. The first of which was, "How long can you hold this for me?" Being that I was still in the process of getting my refund from my other order, I didn't have the funds right then and there. What I like about Sweetwater is that it feels like those guys are doing more than just trying to sell you a guitar. After a few minutes the whole dealer issue I was having came up and I explained the situation to him. He was incredibly sympathetic and actually worked out a stupid good deal that I doubt any of you would have refused either lol!
A couple days later, and she arrives at my house and I'm just floored by this thing. I have to say, playing 2 other Koa JP's in the past that I wasn't expecting to like it at all, I've always preferred the standard BFR's since the Mahogany Body/Neck wasn't my thing on those 2. It must be the Rosewood Neck because it resonates insanely well and has quite a bit of snap without being too abrasive on the higher strings. The only thing I'd change is probably install a D-Activator Neck pickup, but before I do that I'm going to place some foam under the Liquifire and raise it to see how it fares. It sounds fine as is, but it is a bit of a contrast to the bridge in this guitar.
I'm really happy with it, and I honestly didn't expect to own a Koa Top'd JP of any sort anytime soon. But it worked out nicely in the end now I just have to decide what tuning I want to throw it in.
