Congrats man, I had a 5150 III and it was probably my favorite amp I've owned so far and I kind of miss it.

absolutely beautiful
i heard that its might be a butcher cab, its made some time between '88-'92 (we think) and the things a tank, its tolex is like fucken mystical dragon skin or someshit, its super thick and no matter what you do you cant put a mark in it. and it sounds like summoning demons straight from the firey depths of hell with this evh 5150, bottom line the cab is most excellent

That cat on top of my noise gate is called djent cat. It is the enabler of djent. And I tried it boosted, I don't have the overdrive pedal there in the photo, though. Just an equalizer and delay for the effects loop. The boost did make it sound better, but it was completely unnecessary. Gain past half on channel 3 is unnecessary.
