^But both the neck and the bridge pickup are slightly slanted compared to the end of the fretboard and the bridge. That doesn't look normal to me. o_O

It could possibly be on purpose..I mean some people want the bass side closer to the bridge to give it the more tight, metallic sound or the more mellow treble strings from being farther away from the bridge. who knows

It looks nice. I think the fretboard overhang is slightly longer on the treble side. So the neck pickup was placed to line up with it in the same way as the bridge pickup was placed next to the bridge.

This must be the case. Now I really want something like that as well, with wenge top :agreed:

Don't tell this to ornsby, charvel, framus, or any of the other manufacturers this! ;)

That looks sick man, I LOVE the red stripes, I cant tell, are those paint or are they wood laminates?

Yeah, but why would anyone slant the neck pickup so that the treble side is closer to the bridge? If the lower cutaway and the fret access isn't an issue, I can't imagine why you'd want a neck pickup to sound crisper on the high strings and mellower on the bass strings. P

Additionally, the pickups are slanted, but probably too little to offer much sound difference, so they just look off. Charvel, Ormsby, Framus, etc. slant them, but more than a couple of mm.

OP, can you talk about the slants, and why you ordered that?
