My dog isn't too impressed by it though...

Huge shout-out to Nick (Zimbloth) and the Axe Palace as a whole for being stellar throughout this whole process. If you are interested in getting a great guitar like a Mayones, just contact them. You won't regret it. The setup on this is the best I've ever played.

The wait time on this was about 13 months, which was a lot longer than expected. I guess Mayones is getting a lot of orders, can't say I'm surprised! This guitar also may or may not have made it's way to NAMM 2015. That being said, the wait was totally worth it. The Regius 7 is the only seven string that has felt totally "right" in my hands, so naturally my final seven string would be a Regius. I will be putting Blackhawks in it when I have the time, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the SH2/4 combo (frankly they're fuzzy as f:sponge:ck by my standards, but for a "stock" pickup these are really good). I will be doing some sound demos and full song recordings with this guitar at a later date once I've got the BKPs in, so look out for those in the future. The resonance is just unnatural. I've played a lot of guitars from a variety of brands. PRS and Mayones are the only brands I've ever felt as being "alive" with the sound.

This guitar is TEW mahogany (favorite tone wood!) and a swear it is the most "alive" guitar I've played. My Custom 24 is the best 6 string I've ever played, but this is something else entirely. The fretted notes literally resonate in your hands; it's very loud unplugged. Plug it in and you have a mountain of beautiful sound - totally pure and natural. I simply can't emphasize how incredible it sounds. The playability is what I've come to expect from Mayones. The Regius 7 has been my recording 7 for a year and a half, and this guitar plays as flawlessly as I'd expect from a Mayones.

I could talk all day about it, but I'd rather answer specific questions people may have about the guitar, so please do ask literally anything about it.

Here's the specs and some Youtube videos I took on my phone. The guitar is going into a 50W 5150III and I'm using a Blackstar HT60 as my cab (weird I know )

Models Regius 7
Orientation Right-Handed
Finish Type Matte
Body Finish Transparent Natural Fade Blue (4A-5A grade only)
Rear Body/Neck Finish Trans Natural
Body Wood Mahogany (Enhanced)
Neck Wood11pc Maple-Mahogany-Wenge-Amazakoe
Top Wood Quilted Maple (4A)
Fretboard Ebony
Bridge ABM Fixed
Scale Length Standard 25.4"

Fret Options Medium Jumbo (Stainless Steel) - Important note: these stainless steel frets feel really nice. The ones on my old Carvin felt really hard and made playing seem..."distant." I notice no significant difference between this and the nickel frets I usually play.

Nut Options Graph Tech Black TUSQ
Tuners Sperzel Locking
Hardware Color Black
Whole Instrument Binding 3ply White ABS + Black Pearloid filling
Side Markers Black Dots
Pickup Options Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz
Straplocks Schaller Security Straplocks
Knobs Metal Dome

Videos!...Very rough videos. I'll do some proper demos at some point, I haven't had the time to do so :noway:

Very nice. HNGD!

How is that bridge? and why aren't they just using hipshots? Thought they put those on all their hardtails?

Boom! Right in the feels. Everytime I see a Regius I am struck by their beauty. Wish I could try one someday, they are not really common around here. Happy NGD!

Also just read that it took 13 months? Did something happen along the way or are they that busy right now? Cause I was told 6 months on my build. Just curious.

Looks great! very nice maple top!! is this one a 4A? looks like it... ;)

Nice that you could have the SS frets on yours... I was told by Mayones 2 weeks ago, that I could not put SS frets on birdseye maple neck, as it's too brittle and this could cause cracking.. So I went with regular frets... But I was really surprised!!...

Well back on topic!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :)

As far as I can tell, Mayones was kinda shady about it since the guitar was actually on display at NAMM. They didn't tell myself or any of the involved parties so we all were in the dark for awhile. So as far as I know, it was done roughly 8-9 months after I placed the order, then took another few due to NAMM

Damn that sucks! It'd also kinda piss me off knowing a ton of others got to play it before I did! Well atleast it's home now and still all intact. Still a beautiful guitar that I can't help but to just gaze at the pics. That top is incredible! :scream:

I installed my Blackhawks (ceramic) finally! Once I have time I'm going to do some recording with this guitar. For now, here's a crappy phone video, but there's definitely a huge difference between these and the Duncans.
