NGD Pendulum 8 video

Hey dudes,

Finally got my semi-custom Pendulum 8-string (25"-27" fan) w/ black flame and ebony fretboard...and I've put it to use right away! Having only played 6 strings before (w/ the exception of my SRB-640), I've found the transition to 8-string very natural so far with F# on the 8th. Getting a great tone is a different story...

Anyway, no trophy shots just yet, rather, I have written a quick track here for your enjoyment! Pics to follow...

@Sonicboom - No, there's no trem as you can see. Didn't want a trem for stability reasons. The QC is pretty good I think. The finish is nice; the action is low out of the factory; intonation appears good; no fret buzz. And the active p/u's make leads scream. I will admit, however, I'm having a hard time getting a strong, clear gain tone on the 8th string. I think it'll require some experimenting...and/or changing the string gauge.

Well, it's not gloss. So I guess it's satin? I'm not that familiar with finishes. I'd say it's a matte finish.

Thanks! And thanks to everyone else for the comments! I should mention that fanned frets have had literally no impact on my playing. If anything, it's the lack of fret markers that sometimes has me second-guessing myself when I'm noodling around up high.
