alright, so im new to this forum but this is not my first ERG. it is my first 8 string...

so Agile 828 Dual MN Ghostburst. you all know the specs, ppl have posted dozens of these guitars. its the 828, so 28.625" scale. i was a little apprehensive about the scale length, i dont have huge fingers. but i am more commonly a bassist (touring in a band playing Warwicks with 34" scale). there is no hyperbole here tho... this neck is huuuge. its thin (not wizard thin, but thin) and its wide (not 6-string bass wide, but wide). and its long, even compared to my Schecter Damien 7 (27" scale if i remember...) its very big. and will take some getting used to... but first impression; epic guitar.

i have guitars worth more, i have guitars worth a lot less.. but this guitar is the best middle ground ive found.

so why Agile and not an Ibanez RGA8 or save up a little and get a 2228???
well, i work at a Long and McQuade (Canada's Guitar Center) and i could get an RGA8 or a 2228 for a little over cost.. and finance it if i wanted to... but i played both of them.. to me the RGA8 played and sounded cheap.. the neck was thin and fast, but the pickups were.. meh. im not huge on actives so that might have been it.. but really, it just wasnt for me.. even for less money than i paid for the Agile. and the 2228, while a better guitar than the Agile again, had active pickups and secondly was $1600 with my discount.. and that wasnt in the cards...

the other over riding thing that pushed me to Rondo Music was the fact that i didnt have to choose black. WAY better finish options, i went for a subtle one, but still... its better than gloss/galaxy black...

anyways!!! PICS!

Congrats man!!! I was in your boat with scale length when I got my 30" (since I've got stubby sausage fingers), but like you said, it doesn't take much adjusting to get comfortable. Hell, standard scale just feels wrong now when I switch back . Nice choice though, I've always been fond of the Ghostburst finish.

Awesome man, I think that's the first Ghostburst I've seen outside of Rondo's site, and I'm liking it.

Congrats :yesway:

its def. got a weird colour-changing thing in different light, but im HUUUGE on silverburst guitars and i wasnt gunna spend an assload of money on a custom guitar. awesome compromise. the pic on the Rondo site doesnt do it justice.. my pics dont really do it justice.
