Woohoo!!! my first ngd!!!!!!!:metal:

and the long awaited monster rgd2127z is here. i know i know, its not a blackmachine or fanned fret daemoness (if thr is one :D ) and its a relatively old guitar so u guys may not be so excited!! but its my first 7 string:cool: and i cudnt have asked for a better guitar!!

Let me say i skeptical about the baritone scale length and absence of tone knob but i am overwhelmed with the quality of the guitar!! it was flawless :O

the tone is exemplary , the sustain is mindblowing and it just looks badass :hbang: i heard many ppl say it dusnt wow u wen u open the case for the first time but i was floored. it looks like a frigging monster and plays like one too. and i prefer the extra inch in the neck tho i have small hands. lots of note clarity

the stock pickups are insane as many said. not the best, yet not as crappy as the other ibanez stocks. the bridge has a brilliant bite to it. i dont dig the neck pu too much. and the cleans are ok. all in all it needs more definition and clarity. coz the lower strings seem very muddy and not clear. but my d-activators are coming. i ll share a soundclip when they arrive.

all in all: best guitar i owned. blows my pretige rg3550mz out of the water and this is a huge deal from me coz i freaking adore that guitar. this baby is all about the tone and i m lucky not to get a lemon which some others have. its playability is great. the neck is a tad beefier than the 6 string necks but i havent played many 7s so i cant comment. but i like a bit of thickness coz i find it easier to do myfast alternate picking runs

i wanted to paint her white like vivaldis rgd. but the finish is so sweet i dont wanna touch it!! wat do u ppl feel?? the bridge also stays in tune....seems a bit stiffer than the normal edges....so its easier to palm mute and press down without fucking the tuning up.

Awsome Geetar! I ordered a RGD 2127 FX yesterday, got the Edge Zero version, too.
Best guitars I ever played ;)

I say put stainless steel frets on it before getting a refinish. and then afterwards, get it refinish in mystic dream! i swear it will make it look like a samurai sword.and slap some bkp warpigs (black with black poles, or maybe even covered burnt chrome?) in there. and youd have one AMAZING axe. probably the best ibanez this side of the mississippi!

I' personally paint it something other than satin/matte

it's easier to clean a clear coat, buff out scratches, doesn't wear as easy from hand rubbing. what colour (i.e. white) is up to you, but i'd go for a gloss finished axe, just cus it's more resistant to wear, easy to clean and doesn't chip off easy like the paint on the 2127 does

hmm....well let me just get the new guitar smell off it :D and then id start modding. my d-activators are already en route...retarded store teks a month to process the orders.

and as for the finish, well i m thinking of changing colors...i m tired of black guitars and need sumthing else.....lack of good paint shops/ guitar luthiers here in india limit my options but i will change it somehow.
