NGD: Schecter Blackjack ATX Solo II VRS

I was comparing this guitar with Schecter Platinum Solo II. They have the same spec except for Tonewood and Pickups. EMG 57/66 and Mahogany on the Platinum, on the other hand Duncan Blackouts and Swamp ash on the Blackjack ATX.

Really wanted to love the platinum (due to EMG 57/66 and lower price), but the craftmanship and finish is much lower quality than the Blackjack ATX. The fret ends were sharp and not smoothen out.

So I took home the blackjack ATX, and loving it. Now I am torn, whether to install the pickguard or not. lol.

I'm thinking of getting one. I like having 2 vol 2 tone. Are the knobs countersunk at all? Wondering if it would look very different if I installed a second tone.
