NGD - Skervesen Raptor

The Raptor arrived at my door yesterday, so here are the first pics in the USA!

Here are the specs:

- left handed (bring on the jokes )
- 7 string
- ash body
- pau ferro + ebony 5 piece neck
- ebony fretboard
- bolt on
- burl poplar top
- black binding on body
- ivoroid binding on neck/headstock
- stainless steel frets
- fluorescent side dots
- hipshot locking tuners
- hipshot bridge
- BKP warpigs (ceramic bridge/alnico neck)


First impressions....the top.....WOW!!!....the neck....double WOW!!!!

Action is impressively low and smooth. I've only played it acoustically so far due to a blown power tube in my amp. That is getting replaced today, so I'll have more to tell soon.

I'm sorry dude, but I basically ordered a near-copy of your guitar ... I compared every idea I had for my custom to your guitar since the guys at Skervesen posted the first pics of it.

I placed my deposit on Monday and I already picked my top. BUT ... I'll get camo-covers *haha*

No kidding. This is about the only time of year I can do these outside shots However, we have had a good stretch of sun this summer. 2nd highest number of consecutive days in recorded history.

This is actually the building where I work. I knew by the time I got off work the sun would be too low in the sky.

The camera is just a point and shoot Sony I picked up from Costco. These little cameras have come a long way.
