Looking awesome man!

How are you finding the Enduraneck profile?

I was looking to get this on a new build but I believe .strandberg* are no longer selling licensed CAD profiles to other guitar manufacturers...

I got this used on the Facebook Guitar Porn Gear Exchange, not directly from S7. I don't think he's actually getting anything good done anymore but may be wrong.

They are misaligned, doesn't seem to affect the sound in any way though. I was actually very pleasantly surprised with these. I like them better than any BKP I've tried so far, they're very dynamic and clear.

My BKPs aren't totally aligned, sound awesome :hbang:

Very nice grab, and one thing is for sure that is one hell of a nice top. Really beautiful.

I like your engineer take on it. I also laughed a bit because I hear that a lot myself from people who know or meet me: "hey you are an engineer, what do you think about this?" I always have to say "if it doesn't need to be destroyed by some manner of explosion, then I'm not that kind of engineer".

My only two gripes from this viewpoint are the tuning system and the neck heel. The tuners can be very difficult to turn when the string is under tension and the heel is very large and bulky.

Aside from the rather steep asking price, the only thing that's been a reservation for me about the Bodens has been the neck heel. It's always looked fat to me, but you're the first owner I've heard make a note of it. 'Course a neck-through Strandberg would solve the problem, but then personally I'd have a tough time justifying paying for one guitar what it'd cost me to get three or four Carvins, no matter how novel the design.

Anyway, my rambling aside, congrats — it's beautiful, and hey... minor flaws maybe, but there's no such thing as the perfect guitar.

The neck heel is on the large side, but really only interferes with the last three or four frets. It's a bolt on that's to be expected though.

Before playing this one I'd have agreed that the price was too much. Now though, I'm probably going in on a CL7 in the near future. The ergonomics coupled with the unique sound and feel of these has changed my mind.

The flaws were actually beneficial to me buying this guitar because they brought the price down to a justifiable level, at least in my instance. You should definitely play one before you write them off as overpriced.
