Picked this beauty up in a trade last week with Jayarpeggios. Reallllly happy with the S7G 7 String I got earlier this year, so when I started looking for an 8 string and came across this, I couldn't pass it up.

Specs:
28.625 scale
24 SS frets
BKP Cold Sweats
Hipshot Bridge
Camphor Burl Top
Cocobolo Fretboard
Mahogany Body
Guatemalan Rosewood Neck

Pics (from Jayarpeggios, I don't have a nice camera sadly)

And lastly, a pic of the two S7G's together

This thing looks amazing and plays even better. I wasn't sure if I would keep the Cold Sweats or try to switch them out for Aftermaths or a Pegasus/Sentient set, but after playing with them some I'm pretty happy with them. Probably going to keep them in there for the time being.

I know S7G has been putting out some questionable stuff lately, but both of mine were made in 2011 and are top quality. Couldn't be happier with them. Now I just need to find a 2011 6 string and complete the set!

Here's a few riffs the other guitar player in my band and I threw together last week to test it out. Not the greatest tone I've ever gotten in the world, but it sounds pretty mean. I'm really digging it so far. Used my Axe-Fx II on FW11b with the FAS Modern II and Catharsis Awesometime impulses, ZomBass 3 for Bass and SSD 3.5 for Drums.

S7 may have had their issues, but that's one ridonkulously beautiful guit-fiddle, right there. Happy NGD!

Your tone in that clip's awesome. :yesway: I'm thinking I might wanna do a mahogany body and neck if I get a DC800 soon.

Dude, I was considering picking this up a few weeks back. Loved that guitar the first time I saw it on here a few years ago, good pickup!

HNGD Dude.
The burls is awesome.

just my opinion but: am I the only one who thinks that the neck joint look super uncomfortable? it looks like a square block.
And the headstock shape isn't for me. especially on the 7-string...

Just heard the clip; Cold Sweats sound excellent. Perfect for what you are doing. I think they can be seriously overlooked sometimes and they ....ing deliver very clear and articulate notes, and have great response to picking dynamics. Kickass track!

I love that 7! That is the best looking 7 I've ever seen from the S7G shop. I'm usually a natural wood fan, but that one just grabs my eyes.
