Made a trip down to Sacramento today to visit a college for my little brother, and decided to stop off at Guitar Center for a few minutes just to check if they had anything cool in stock.
They did.
A used EBMM Silhouette. Paid $700 out the door for it. Forgot to haggle for strings or strap-locks though. D: No idea what year it was made in, but it seems to be older, seeing as it still has the 6 bolt neck instead of the 5 bolts guitar center and musicians friend say they have.
So far, I'm liking the sound. It's a welcome change from my Schecter. Not to say the Schecter sounds bad, but it just lacks that open, airyness I want out of my guitars. Which is exactly what this guitar gets me. A nice, open, airy tone that sounds great clean, crunchy, or through a massive thick wall of fuzz. And that's just with 10's on it. I like 12s on my 6's. :haha: :haha:
Being used, it has a few scuffs here and there. Especially the back. The front is nearly perfect, with pick scratches here and there. But the back is messed up with really bad buckle rash. And there is a weird black tarry crap on the back, but I'm not quite sure how to get it off without ****ing it up. Anyone have any suggestions?
TL;DR: Cost $650, best guitar I own at the moment.
