NGS/Review: Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HH 2PT (Satin Burgundy Mist)

I've got the SSS version of this guitar, and it definitely had nut slot issues. Took it back to the local fender dealer and they filed the nut and now it's perfect. I absolutely LOVE this guitar, and it's one of the cheapest I own!

(Just to clarify my fix a little - from the factory the nut slots sloped down torwards the fretboard, rather than down towards the headstock. And they were a little high anyway).

I did end up returning the guitar, mainly because in terms of tones, playability, and ergonomics, it had too much overlap with some of my other guitars and didn't do anything better than any of them, and the only reason I'd want to keep it was for the finish, which is never a good enough reason because guitars are ultimately tools for making music, not museums pieces to be displayed.
