There's a nickelback song that ends with a breakdown, like a pretty legit metal breakdown from what I remember. Anyone know what song I'm thinking of?
I have a distinct memory of being driven in my friend's dad's truck, and finding a Nickelback cd in the truck and being like "lol im cool metalcore teen this is dumb" then my friend was like, "no, no, listen to this...."
And he played me the song and I was totally floored that nickelback had a breakdown
I want to hear it again.

I'm curious now... I wouldnt call myself a nickelback fan per se, but I don't mind some of their songs.

Haha Nickelback is my version of your Creed. As far as Creed goes, Higher has such a dope lick in the chorus and I think Tremonti has pretty nice guitar tone. Not saying I'm a big fan, but I relentlessly mocked Creed when they were popular, then mocked them nostalgically once that period of music fizzled out, and now I kinda like some of the old tunes in a less ironic way. Not the ballad hit-play ones though.

Buckcherry takes the award for worst of all time radio band though.

I used to not mind Buckcherry but now I strongly dislike them. I somehow was oblivious to their Woodstock performance until very recently. Jesus christ that guy is a mess lmao

Whenever I feel unsuccessful or down on myself and my situation, I fire this bad boy up and after 7 or so minutes I'm feeling pretty great and ready to face the day with pride. The J Geils-esque narrations midsong are just...well, they're something lol

The slow motion replays of him thrusting are gold

I wonder if the rest of the band is as batshit crazy?

Timeline wise it would seem it's that album, I just listened to the end of all the songs, but none of them are what I remember, though. Maybe my nostalgia is creating a fake memory. That's a really rocking album, though, it has some heavy riffs

Do you remember which song? I'm listening to a bunch of their songs now trying to find the one I remember, and they have a lot more songs that are heavier than I remember.

Feed the Machine is the djenty one. The Betrayal has a pretty tasty breakdown outro.

To think, I paused Carcass to listen to that. Bad move, me. That was nuts. Literally and figuratively.
